Effective 2026-05-05. This is a plain-language summary of how Cursivetool handles your data. We aim to keep this short and accurate. If you have questions, see our contact page.
What we collect
- Standard server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) logs IP addresses, request paths, user-agent strings, and timestamps for security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained for a short period and not linked to identities.
- Anonymous analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Umami to measure aggregate page views and Core Web Vitals. Neither service uses third-party tracking cookies and neither receives identifying data about you.
- Custom event counts. When you tap a copy button we increment an anonymous counter so we can see which styles are popular. The text you typed is never sent anywhere β all conversion runs in your browser.
What we do not collect
- The contents of the text you type into any tool.
- Your name, email, or other identifiers β we have no sign-up or accounts.
- Cross-site tracking cookies.
Cookies
We use a single first-party cookie to remember your light/dark theme preference. No tracking cookies are set. See Cookie Policy for details.
Third-party services
- Cloudflare hosts the site and provides DDoS protection. Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to network-level data they process.
- Umami Cloud processes anonymous click events. They do not use cookies and do not collect personal data.
Advertising
Cursivetool may display advertising in the future via a privacy-respecting ad network. When that happens, this policy will be updated to disclose the network used and any related cookies. Until then, no ads are served.
Your rights
Under GDPR (European Union), CCPA (California), and similar laws, you have the right to know what data we process about you, to request deletion, and to object to processing. Because we do not collect identifying data, in most cases there is nothing to retrieve or delete. If you believe we hold data about you, email us via the contact page.
Children
Cursivetool is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Effective" date at the top of the page.
